  Beautifully situated hotel. Nice terrace and restaurant. Used by locals for dining. The Chiqui is at the far end of Santander away from the traffic noise of the city. Ideal for a short city break right on the beach and on the edge of park land. Bus into town is €1.30.

  I have been staying here for a few days now and I cannot fault it. It is clean, breakfast is fab and the location is just perfect. I enjoy watching the sun rise from my bedroom window every morning!

  We were here during the festival of San Juan and they had huge bonfire on the beach starting at midnight. It was beautiful to watch. There were lots of young people partying on the beach as well. Luckily they were far enough away that it didn't bother our sleep.

  Beautiful and peaceful hotel at one end of the beach. We really enjoyed the room and the ocean views. The breakfast buffet was awesome as well.

  The balcony was a pleasant surprise and the views were impeccable. But despite a nicely laid out restaurant, there are no facilities to enjoy in the hotel - no gym, no pool. Which means you must rely on your surroundings, and given your position as furthest hotel from the centre of santander means a taxi or a long walk. That Suited me as I came to walk and get away from things, but might tax others who don't walk often. It does have santanders best beach on its doorstep and a supermarket very close by, though. Plus the rooms themselves are very nice and bright and comfortable.
